The Pumpkin armchair and its footstool were originally designed by Pierre Paulin in 1971 as unique pieces for the private residence of Claude & Georges Pompidou at the Elysée Palace. They are made from moulded strips of wood, wrapped in foam, to create the beautiful pumpkin shape.
